This Is It
This was a multipart text-based work exhibited as part of the 2017 HOFS group exhibition.

Throughout the exhibition, these pairs of texts were distributed amongst the other works. The texts read:
'this is it', 'this is not it', 'this was never it', 'this will always be it', 'this must be it', 'this can't be it', 'this used to be it', 'this was it once but it's not any more', and 'is this it?'

Each component consists of the pairing of a printed element and a vinyl element. Each makes a contrasting statement, introducing a conversation or contradiction.

A random process was used to determine which elements were paired. The locations were determined in advance by a third party who did not know which pairs would end up there. The specific pairs installed at each location were also chosen randomly.
